This is a little complicated... Corona has been on Eagle Pack puppy food (kibble) and in January I also added some Eagle Pack Holistic canned food because she was super super skinny. Of course, the little buggar quickly figured out how to suck all the wet food off the kibble, and leave the kibbles lying around on the floor all over the house.
Anyway... I'm almost out of the kibble now and am looking to switch foods. First of all I have to decide what to switch her to (it cant be eagle pack as the pet store doesnt carry it, grrr!), but then I'm not sure how to go about it. I think feeding her three different kinds of food would likely be very hard on her system... so should I switch her onto the wet and then onto the new food... or quickly finish off the wet and have her on kibble and then switch her to the new food... ?? lol
And any recommendations for what I should switch her to? I've been perfectly happy with the Eagle Pack, I just can't get it anymore...
Stacey, add a little of the new kibble into her old kibble adding more of the new each day or every other day until you get her changed over is the way I have done before. If you just change her over all at once it might upset her tummy. Mine eat a small amount and have lost on the food I switched them to because they could not eat enough to maintain their weight, so I went back to Eukanuba Puppy Small Bites for Small Breeds. Or...,can you get Royal Canin for Chi's there. I liked the formula in it and the girls really gobbled it up but I had to drive to the next town to get it. They are both high in protein and a good fat content with lots of vitamins etc. (This is my opinion)
