Toy Question
Permalink Closed

Ok, well, Sassy is really, REALLY rough on toys, she chews and shreds the heck out of them. Gets the stuffing inside all over and everything. She prefers stuffed toys to chew toys also. I am wondering, does anyone know where I can get smaller sized stuffed toys for her that are really made very durable? I'd be thrilled to get a hold of a few that will actually last a little while. LOL!

Well Jenn, since Ellie isn't into tearing the 'guts' out of her toys I have to admit defeat on this one!  However, I did google it and found a few toys which might be good; here are their links:

I'm not sure if these last two are what you're looking for but thought I'd suggest it anyway!

Mine are all terrible with stuffies too. Petsmart now sells fleece stuffies without the stuffing! Very cool. And we also buy McDonalds beanies in bulk on Ebay, open them up with a seam ripper, remove the beans and stuffing and sew them shut. They last forever like that when there is no motivation to get inside. Also, I've noticed that it's the squeakers that drive them mad and get the whole thing started so I take out squeakers now. We actually have a stuffed elephant, still stuffed, that has been here for about a month without the squeaker!

sorry i'm of no help here, my kids are great with toys, if i didnt want to buy them new ones i'd never have to. The one thing we did do this summer that was really cool was that we went to all the garage sales/yard sales that we could find and found just cheap stuffed animals (one even had a box of dog toys that we bought for like 2 dollars) washed them all and the kids love them.

Radar isnt too rough on toys, but he does pick the hair and fuzz off of them. We mainly by Dr. Noys toys for Radar. You can get them at PetsMart. These toys come in different sizes, and have a velcro opening where you can replace or remove the squeaker(s). They have no stuffing, just squeakers. They are very durable, Radar has had his "skunk" for forever, and it's alittle ratty, but in good shape. Anyway, I hope I was some help!

I won't be too much help either, as my chis do not destroy toys!

I find the Petstages toys to be durable, and the Dr. Noys ones are great as well.  Rylie will squeak the Dr. Noys toys over and over again, and break the squeaker (but you can replace the squeakers so it is great)!
