hurt leg ?

I'm sooo upset right now - I think Bijou may have hurt her leg :(   We were outback with all the pups - she was in under everyone's feet as usual (you know, those toe biters) - she all of a sudden yelped and ran - i went to pick her up and she yelped a little again.  I checked her leg - she let me touch it, didn't cry - i checked her pad for a bee sting or something to see what she could have done.   She was just as happy as can be after i picked her up.  When I put her back down, she favored it a little (it's her right back leg), but then seemed fine.   As she was running, she seemed to limp on it a little but went right back to playing.
I took her in for her nap and have been checking it - she's not in any pain, i can touch it - but sometimes i swear i hear a small popping or snapping as she moves it - could very well be my imagination but i'm so scared.   She's been outside again - she's always had a bit of a wide stance in the back (i call her the bulldog) but she doesn't seem to be favoring it - every once in a while i swear i see that leg turn out a little - but sometimes i wonder if i'm looking for it or just a worry wart.
I'm calling the vet in morning to be sure - she's going in thursday anyways for her rabies but i just need my own peace of mind that i shouldn't bring her right in.
Just needed to "vent" about it - i'm just beside myself that something may have happened :(

Poor baby... I agree with you Sue about checking with the vet in the morning... She is most likely fine, but it never hurts to be cautious.. Give her hugs and kisses.. Deb

I hope all is ok. I know that feeling so well. Jax took a fall a few weeks ago and I thought he had REALLY hurt his leg badly. What ended up happening is it scared him badly (thats all) so he held the leg up and was hoping around staggering and I absolutely freaked out. After checking him and giving him a few mins, he was fine and dandy and playing and running. Not hurt in the least. But the way he acted you really would have thought he had injured it severely. Hopefully all is ok with Bijou, let us know. I do feel for you, it's a scary thing.

Thanks guys - i feel a little better about it now :)

I just felt so terrible that something might have happened - it's like having a new baby and worrying all the time :(

She's been out playing for over an hour - running, jumping, her and Bindi rolling all over each other - tugging at each other's tails and legs - i really can't imagine there's anything that wrong with it :)

I'll still have her checked when she goes in thursday for my own piece of mind - thanks for your support
