I am just wondering, for those of you that breed, how many times do you breed your girls in a row before you give them a break? I have heard some do it every other heat. Some do it 2 times and then give a break, some 3 times and then a break, and some just breed back to back until age 4-5 and then retire. I thought it would give me some ideas on how to breed my girls and what would be best for them. Thanks!

I am figuring this out for myself right now. I do believe I'm going to go two breedings and then a break. This is Maya's and Janie's second litters and both are bigger than the last ones and everyone is doing well so far.
This is what I was thinking too. It seemed Penny did great having two litters back to back but I don't feel comfortable doing a third. I would feel better to wait and breed her again on her next heat. I think she is still recovering from her litter in Nov. Even though she is walking around tormenting poor Brody! She would let him breed her in a second, but she is snarling and fussing at Money! I had to hold her the last time to let Money breed her! I wonder if she doesn't like him! LOL!! They seem to get along good any other time!
